Brother James

Brother James specialises in house music in many different sub genres. Deep, Bumpy, soulful, vocal & Afro house. James’ Antiguan father influenced him massively music wise, listening to many different artists and styles of music growing up. He was Dj’ing a lot of Uk garage, especially at the height of it’s popularity and was into the likes of DJ EZ, Tuff Jam, Todd Edwards to name a few. Making the switch over to house was a natural progression musically. With the change of genre came new influences. Karizma, Atjazz, Kerri Chandler, Louie vega & Black Coffee are just some of the many inspirations and influence’s which have helped his love for house music become stronger.

He has gained experience playing at some of London’s most popular events, as well as playing at festivals in Tobago, Croatia & Amsterdam which has helped James hone his craft and broadened his musical reach. Although based in London James is resident at Birmingham’s premier House music event Soul Fusion, playing alongside some the game’s top Dj’s including Dj Spen, Souldynamic, Sy Sez, Atjazz, The Journeymen, Sean Mccabe and Groove Assassin to name a few. His energetic style captures his love and enthusiasm for all things House.
