Founded by Hisa Ishioka in 1993, King Street Sounds has established itself as one of the oldest and most respected independent dance music labels in NYC.
In combination with sister labels Street King and Nite Grooves, King Street has yielded some of the best dance music releases in tech/progressive house, soulful/vocal house, and nu jazz/future soul. Overall catalogue releases include work from producers Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia, Alex Kenji, Dennis Ferrer, Satoshi Tomiie, Kerri Chandler, Cevin Fisher, David Morales and Larry Levan among others.
By working with some of dance music’s most reputable names and aggressively seeking out new talent, King Street continues to build a solid following across the globe.
