Sartorial, Simon Kennedy and Moodena is Tropical Disco – a collective of likeminded individuals, who share a deep love of music, vinyl-culture and no-boundary parties. It originally started out as a nu disco and groovin house show on Sartorial’s weekly HouseFM radio show, and progressed on to be a monthly club night at The Market House in Brixton in 2017. Sartorial and Simon Kennedy both now hold a weekly radio show on MI-SOUL Radio from 1-3 am on Friday morning called the Tropical Disco show, giving them the perfect platform to test out forthcoming tracks on one of England’s biggest DAB radio stations. Simon Kennedy developed his love for soul & dance music from the very early eighties, listening and learning from some of the first London pirate stations. He also had heavy involvement in the creation of the early acid house rave scene, releasing his first record in 1991. Sartorial and Simon have already released over 8 records together as well as countless individual releases with plenty more in the pipeline.

In November 2017, Tropical Disco released their first vinyl ep Tropical Disco Edits Vol 1, kicking the label off with a bang. Building on that formula, the label has gone from strength to strength, with each release selling more than the last, and re-presses ordered within two weeks of each release being on sale. To date, more than 1500 records have been sold around the world on Vol 1 alone, with the label fast becoming one of the best for edits and house music to come out of the UK.

Tropical Disco Edits Vol 4 ‘Sound Of The Summer EP’ sees Moodena (Tim Burnett) joining the camp, a long-time friend of Sartorial who brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years in the business as a founding member of MN2S a legendary artist agency, club night, record label and distribution company. Vol 4 is already set to be the biggest vinyl release on the label so far, with Deejay.de putting the EP straight in at Number 1 on their buzz chart as well as receiving heavy weight support from DJ Spen, Chez Damier, Soul Clap, RNT, Get Down Edits, and Marshall Jefferson to name a few.
